On my journey to more natural lifestyle I have run into apple cider vinegar a few times. My opinion is that it’s a pretty powerful thing. Whether you use it in your diet, topically, or as a cleanser you’ll get some pretty consistent results.
I personally like it as a hair cleanser. It helps to remove build-up from my scalp and product debris from my hair. It leaves my hair feeling softer and looking shinier than before the rinse. The cost also helps. You can buy it in larger sizes and then mix it into different formulas to help with different conditions.
Remember that if you plan to ingest it, large amounts can be harmful. Consult your physician before you add to your daily regime to ensure that you are not diluted current medication or adding to the problem that is causing your condition.
Apple cider vinegar has been a friend to me and maybe it will be to you too.

Hair that is healthy should be full of vitamins, minerals, and nutirents. But, you should know that some minerals build up on the hair instead of feeding the hair. You can have this mineral build up if you wash your hair in Hard Water. Hard water is water with high levels of minerals present.
Many minerals effect the hair. However, I believe that you should pay close attention to four of them.
1. Silica, found in AZ Sonoran Desert, is generally useful. However, it's presence on the hair strand is usually accompanied by Calcium and Magnesium. Together these three create insoluble deposits on the hair strand, choke the hair follicle at it's root; stops growth, and causes dandruff-like symptoms.
2. Magnesium causes the hair to lack shine.
3. Calcium determines the hardness of water. It's presence dries out the hair, repels chemical alterations, retards hair growth, and creates dandruff-like flakes on the scalp.
4. Chlorine is an oxidizing agent that is added to drinking and pool water to kill bacteria. When the hair is wet it feels gummy. When the hair is dry it feels like straw. It's presence alone can make any existing condition worse.
If you recognize any of these symptooms in your hair you must act immediately. Expose your hair to vitamins C & E; as they will begin to restore the hair's moisture and manageability. Seek a Hair Care Professional for a trim and to establish a hair care plan to ensure your hair grow back healthy. Be patient and know that it will take time for 100% recovery. Happy Growing!
